Difficulties using eye-tracking to select from the menu bar in Windows

| Category:
menu bar

Here is a tip that helped me immensely while using eye tracking in windows mouse control.  I had a problem selecting from the File, Edit, View menu of most software I used.  In order to resolve this problem:

  1. I went into Display settings in the Control Panel.
  2. Chose the appearance tab.
  3. Chose the Advanced button
  4. In the Advanced Appearance window, under Item, I chose Menu.
  5. I set the size of Menu to 32
  6. I then set the size of the Font to 12

Now I have no problems selecting menu items.

Good tip, thank you!

Hi all,
for Ismail I did something similar:
On the appearance tab:
- Set font size to large.

After clicking the advanced button:
- Set active title bar to size 25 (this makes closing programs easier)
- Set Scrollbar to size 25 (this makes scrolling in long documents/internet easier)
- Set Menu to size 25, Fontsize 12

And then in the MyTobii setting I set the mouse fixation level (I don't know the english word for it because I work with the dutch version) at low. It makes it easier to click on little buttons in Windows. For example the close button.
