Need an online keyboard to program your own VSC Page Sets?

Windows On-Screen Keyboard

In Technical Support, I have heard many times about P10 users who want to create or edit their own page sets in VS Communicator.  Unfortunately, it is not possible to use the VS Communicator keyboards in order to do this.  I found a wonderful FREE handy tool thatcan aleviate this problem.  It is called DOSK.  basically, it takes the Windows XP on-screen keyboard, and makes it more accessible.  I think the best feature DOSK has is that it can make the On-Screen keyboard larger, so it is easier to choose the correct keys.  Also, DOSK gives the On-Screen keyboard a dwell feature and a switch feature.  Well, rather than have me go on about it, here is the web page.

Decide for yourself and download it if you like.  This is not software that TobiiATI supports, but I have heard that the author of DOSK is very happy to help anyone out that needs help.

JoeBug:

Ok-so I just came across your post...I've been trying to learn how to program a Tobii for my son to use as a "trial" to see if it's a communication device that can work for him. I don't have much time to invest in training just yet, unless we decide to go with this.

The one main question I have is this, is it possible to program the device withOUT an external keyboard attached to the device. If your post is the answer, do you think Windows Vista has a keyboard that can be downloaded. (I think it's Vista that is on the device-its at school-it may be higher? Is that Windows 7, now?)

So if your post is talking about downloading a keyboard (I may have totally misunderstood you)- how do you use it simotaniously (sp?) with the programming software.

Forgive me if the answer is obvious or right in front of my nose-but I haven't been able to find it. I've searched the manuals, their website & everywhere!

If you can help me or direct me to someone who can, it would be GREATLY appreciated!
