P10 Tips and Tricks...I need your help!
Happy Summer!
As a summertime project, I am collecting any P10 tips and helpful hints you may have that you think would benefit other P10 users. These tips could include:
- suggestions for transporting the P10,
- any special tricks for initial set up,
- what has worked best for accessing...the clock, dot, or invisible settings,
- how you use it for accessing e-mail,
- special calibration tips,
- what you would recommend for a new user just starting out with it,
- using the P10 with a wheelchair battery,
- etc. etc.
I have created a forum for "P10 Tips" in the Users section and I hope it will be filled with as many helpful hints as possible by the end of the summer! :) I will take that information and sort through it so we can be sure that new P10 users have it available as well.
I have already started out the forum with a tip that I received from a colleague earlier this year.
Many thanks for your help!!

transport of a P10 can be difficult... check into Pelican cases... they come with uncut foam inserts... are water proof and totally air tight.... cut the foam for a custom fit!
Hi,
I have a Tobii-summer-tip:
I can listen to music with the P10:
It works with a USB-soundcard and normal headphones.
I use a large surface of WINAMP.
So, Ican liste to music outside!
A nice summer!

We just got our My Tobii unit and are looking for fun overlays for our 7 year who will be using the unit here at home and at school.
Thanks!
What do you mean in particular please? Games, educational activities, media applications,...?

Hi there,
Some great fun overlays in VS Communicator 4 can be found under the Misc section. If you have a USB flash drive you can load some music on the P10 and use the music player page sets. There are also some fun games on VS Communicator as well.
On the MyTobii software itself, there are some games included with the device that were created primarily by unviersity students. You also can find some other software that might be helpful at the COGAIN website. I believe that there was another forum topic about the COGAIN applications some time ago...you should be able to find it if you look up the forum topics on this website.
If you find anything that is particularly helpful, please post it!
Best of luck!

As a follow up...
The information about the COGAIN applications can be found in the following forum:
My Tobii Users/My Device/ COGAIN leisure applications (at the bottom of the list)
I have tried all of those applications on my P10, which are downloadable from COGAIN.
Sadly, I found they don`t really work well. The puzzle kept on crashing, got stuck in the advanture game and found the drwaing application a bit too hard to control.
As Erin says, there are games in the VS Communicator and the FULL tobii software package comes with a number of games. If on doesn`t have the full package still no need to worry as all of those games can be found at the COGAIN site.
And depending on which Media Player the user prefers to use, music and video files can be played. Oh, and anything online, flash games, videos, etc.
To be honest, at present, my fun is the word prediction which I have just added to my Grid 2 a few days ago.
