Living with ALS - Lou Gehrig's Disease
My father has ALS and can communicate by writing to us, at this time though he is writing less everyday. I don't know what I will do when he can no longer has the strength to pick up a pen to write his wishes to me. I saw in an issue of REASON FOR HOPE newsletter the story of a woman with ALS and she mentioned her use of a MyTobii. I immediately searched for this product because it might be the solution to my sleepless nights. Please let me know if you use this system and if it works for you as well. Thank you! God Bless You.
it wil work very well as the tobii is commonly used with ALS
Hello Marissa,
The MyTobii P10 has been used by many people with ALS around the world. I know of people in the US who have used the MyTobii P10 and I believe that in Italy, an ALS center has purchased P10's for use with their clients.
My first recommendation would be to have your father actually try out the MyTobii P10, to ensure that he can utilize eye control as a means of accessing the computer. Generally, people find eye control to be a relatively fast and reliable means of accessing the computer....and the MyTobii P10 is a fairly easy and intuitive device to get started with.
Best of luck,
Erin
