Help with Ready-Made Music Pages
Hello everyone! I am the dad to a wonderful little girl that just received her Tobii C12 with CEye module. We are ecstatic to hear her interrupt us to ask me to blow bubbles or some other game.
I was hoping to use the Ready-Made music control pages as a basis for building our daughter a page where she could use her Tobii to choose to play some of her music by selecting album art. However, even though I have loaded her Tobii with Music and made sure it was added to her Windows Media Player's library and the album art downloaded, the Communicator controls for selecting a Music Library item cannot seem to find any items to load. Only one ever loads and it does not include album art and has the text "Unknown". I must be missing something, but cannot find it. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you!
As this has not received a reply in 4 weeks I am assuming (sadly) that these forums have gone dark.
Hi JustADad, the forum is not dead. It's just not as busy these days as it was. But lets blow some life in it again because it's a nice way to share knowledge.
Are you using the music player of the Tobii software? Or the music player of Tobii Communicator? If you use the last one, you should enter the menu and look for settings of the mediaplayer or something. You have to tell Tobii communicator in which folder the music is. After that it should function.
The thing about the unknown artist has something to do with the tags that are attached to the mp3's. Sometimes they are not right and then you see unknown. With some extra program it is possible to change the tags.
Hope this helpes you.

Well if I am understanding this correctly it is a bit disappointing. I have ripped my music to my system using Windows Media Player and have some duplicate songs with iTunes (because Apple does what it can to make using Windows systems difficult with their offerings). Now it sounds like I need to either re-rip all my music or keep yet a third format available for my daugher's Tobii since the Tobii does not have an optical drive for ripping music itself and I have to sneaker-net it from my machine to her's.
Is there documentation or an SDK out there to put custom code behind buttons in Communicator? Maybe I can go the route of writing a custom Windows Media Player controller page.
