hi all,
i am chris from huntingdon, uk. i`ve been using this great device for more than 8 months now and i am really happy. to be honest i have been waiting for such a device as the mytobii is for years, tried switches and all sorts of other things but so far this is the best you can get if you can`t use your arms in my point of view.
i take mytobii very serious and already have achieved a lot with it but still willing to learn more; especially improve on the speed. feel free to drop me a private message if you have any problem as i am more than happy to share my experiences with anyone and also open for any suggestions.
my only problem i`m having at the moment is that i don`t seem to be able to keep my eyefocus for long enough.

I don't have a MyTobii system, yet, though from Chris who is now my very closest friend in the world I have discovered my next device, As of right now i use a laptop with a modified keyboard in it for ultra low force, but soon my arm control will completely go out, thats where the MyTobii system will come in.

Well, you know this. But I can tell that your life is probably a lot easier right now with arm control. On the other hand, to be able to control everything with my eyes is such a great feeling which cannot be discribed by words. Just make sure that you are ready to create your own communication system which you will control with your eyes in the future. ;)

I would definitely pick Grid 2, VS communicator does not seem to be my type, i like the way Grid 2 looks on the website, very simple and easy to make grids... its like building with blocks almost.

Grid 2 is a great and not too complicated program to create sets of grids with it once you learnt how to. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything about the VS Communicator.

VS communicator is heavily based on other softwares, it appears to use a lot of things similar to the PRC devices like the pathfinder and vanguard. Not saying i don't like PRC devices and setup but a Tobii is a Tobii and i think the Tobii software and Grid 2 have better interconnection, they just look good together... the VS communciator would look out of place since it does not match the Tobii's UI very well while Grid 2 matches it very nicely. Grid 2 also seems to have a more simple to use editing interface...
be warned, this is all my opinion and not FACTS.

Interesting point of view Alin. Trouble is, I cannot say anything other than what I have found on the Viking software`s website. According to the pictures the VS Communicator seems pretty similar to the Grid 2 but as I said I can`t say more until I get my hand on one.

I agree with you chris, for me to say anything more i would need to get my hands on a a tobii and the VS software, maybe you can call VS and acquire beta software to use on your desktop PC, or i can on my macbook pro if iinstall windows with bootcamp.
